By Car

Rovinj is located on the western coast of Istria, the biggest Adriatic peninsula, connected by easy motorway drive to Trieste (75 km), 250 km away from Zagreb, 270 km away from Venise Marco Polo Airport.... a little bit more than 500 km away from Vienna or Milano and around 700 km away from Munich.
By Air (All flights for 2010 are not yet published)
Pula airport (http://www.airport-pula.hr) is well served as a regional Croatian airport from the capital Zagreb which many international carriers use. Rovinj is only 35 km by road from Pula airport. Approximate price for taxi transportation is 500 HRK (60-70 €). Please check the price before engaging.
The organizers could provide a help in transfer of participants to Rovinj.

Another option is to take a regular bus line to Pula terminal where the regular bus line to Rovinj can be used. The direct bus line Pula airport-Rovinj also exists. More information about the buses and their timetables will be posted here in due course.
Zagreb is well connected with all major cities in Europe and overseas. The coach frequently connects Zagreb airport with Zagreb main bus station from where a bus to Rovinj departs regularly. The ride takes about 5 hours and the price about 200 HRK (≈ 27 €).

Trieste airport: Trieste is connected with Rovinj by bus from the bus station. Please check the timetable at http://www.autostazionetrieste.it/.
By Bus
Special buses from Zagreb, Pula or Trieste to Rovinj will be organized for the participants of the Conference.
The preliminary estimated departure times will be on Monday, May 10th 2010, ~noon & Tuesday, May 11th 2010 ~15:00 and later in the evening.
From Rovinj to Zagreb, Pula and Trieste on Sunday early in the morning.
Precise schedules will be indicated soon but will fit most of flights timeschedule!
However, it will depend on the number of interested participants and their travel schedule.
Those who are interested to get on the Conference bus should send an email no later than March 20th, to Information AFM BioMed with the subject line "Conference bus" and to state date and time of their arrival to Zagreb, Pula or Trieste.
The interested participants are encouraged to make their reservation as soon as possible since the number of seats could be limited.
By Sea
A regular Hydrofoil service usually connects Rovinj with Venice during the season. More information will be posted here in February.
